Very helpful. Sometimes lies.

I have been very happy to use this as a VOIP phone to work. It is very simple and very helpful. I use it with a Microsoft LX-6000 headset. There are some odd bits—for example, I have to be sure the headset is plugged in *before* I launch Telephone.app.

But Telephone.app offers a UI for muting the phone. It doesn’t work. It works sometimes. But sometimes it shows “mic muted” and doesn’t actually mute the microphone. Today I sighed in a meeting. Whoops.
